Celebrating success across life sciences
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, November 14, 2018 – LSP is pleased to announce that it has been recognised as the winner of the EU Investment Firm of the year at the 2018 Lifestars Awards in London. In addition, LSP’s portfolio companies Aelin Therapeutics and Artios Pharma were recognised as EU private finance raise of the year. In both transactions, LSP acted as lead investor.
Lifestars was a celebration of the success stories, innovations, transformational deals and the people, teams and organisations that play such a critical role in the advancement of the industry over the last 12 months across Europe and the US.
The international awards brought together over 300 global life science leaders, investors, deal makers and key stakeholders from the wider eco-system to recognise the achievements of the industry. During a prestigious gala dinner hosted at the Honourable Artillery Company in London, 20 awards were tightly contested.
Lifestars formed a signature, evening networking function during the Jefferies Annual Healthcare Conference week in London, Europe's largest healthcare investment banking conference.
"Lifestars presented a fantastic opportunity to bring together a deserved audience and highlight the advances being made in our industry. It’s testament to LSP’s efforts that this year’s judging faculty commended them in this manner" said Neil Darkes, Co-CEO, LSX Ltd. and Lifestars
“2018 has been an exceptional year for LSP, with more than €750 million raised for three different funds over the past ten months to invest in innovative drug development and medical technology companies across Europe. This award is a great recognition of the growth that LSP has had over the last year, and the leading position it has established” commented René Kuijten, Managing Partner at LSP
