Arno de Wilde joined LSP in 2019 as an analyst. In his current position as an associate he is part of the LSP investment team focused on unlisted equities and is involved in all stages of the investment process. His primary role is in initial deal flow screening, and in-depth scientific and clinical due diligence on investment opportunities for their future potential. Prior to LSP, Arno was a practicing neurology physician for 6 years, of which he spent the final one and a half year as a neurology resident at the Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc. Before, he performed his PhD research at the Alzheimer Center Amsterdam (Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc), supervised by Professor Philip Scheltens, Professor Wiesje van der Flier and Professor Bart van Berckel. His research specifically focused on the clinical utility and implementation of Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers. At the Alzheimer Center, he had the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge in evaluating and treating patients with (atypical presentations of) neurodegenerative diseases. In his spare time, he co-led the organization of three subsequent Alzheimer's running events that totalled over EUR 100,000 in research funding and he was a frequent speaker at local chapters of the Dutch Alzheimer's Association across the country. He studied Medicine at Utrecht University, where he participated in an excellence program for neuroscience students in his final year. Arno participated as a speaker in international scientific meetings and conferences and (co-)authored over a dozen of scientific publications in high impact journals. Arno lives in Amsterdam with his wife.
