Amrita Jain, Ph.D., joined LSP in 2019 as an Analyst. Her role within LSP includes the pre-screening of potential investment opportunities, due diligence, and maintenance of LSP’s project database. Before joining LSP, Amrita was a research associate at Bavarian Nordic GmbH, Munich. Amrita was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie ITN fellowship for pursuing  her Ph.D. thesis on a collaborative project between Utrecht University and the University of Osnabrueck. Her thesis was focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of sphingolipid homeostasis. She has developed innovative  molecular tools to manipulate intracellular lipid pools and applied CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and super-resolution microscopy to monitor lipid-protein interaction in vivo. Amrita presented her research work in numerous international conferences and is an author of several Publications in high-impact journals. Before her doctoral thesis, she was  a research associate at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. Amrita completed her Master of Science degree in Genomics from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. Amrita lives in Munich.
