The Netherlands has a very strong science base in for example oncology, but the step from science to developing new therapies and diagnostics is still not an easy one.
In view of LSP’s commitment to help start-ups in the Netherlands, Rene Kuijten and Rudy DeKeyser (on personal title) have initiated a new topinstitute for cancer in The Netherlands.
The institute will have a strong valorization team to help build and grow companies.
After a long negotiation trajectory with three ministeries, The Dutch Cancer Society, medical/science institutes and 5 top scientists, the commitment to launch the institute was announced on April 12, 2016.
